Blue Ruffle Sleeves Top And Brick Red Skirt – Photo Diary Malacca Part II

Do you prefer a mountain or a river ? When I was younger, I came across a personality quiz that asked this question. The answer that came loud and clear to me was presented as a flash across my mind in the image of a clear and calm river. I have since came to admire the majestic beauty of the mountains as well but was reminded of why I love water when I look at the Malacca River, which cuts across the town of Malacca. There is something so tranquil and serene about this river that put the mind at ease when I just look at it!

The following pictures were taken along or near the river and at the boutique hotel where my husband and I stayed –

It was an extremely hot day so I decided to go for a light-weighted chiffon top with pretty ruffled sleeves and a chic high-waisted skirt. I love the look of a high-waisted bottom as it has the effect of making my petite frame appear taller! As we are prepared to explore Malacca on foot, the cute stripped pumps is naturally the comfortable option to go for.

Hope you like this post and will be back with another one soon! See you!

  1. Your trip sounded so lovely, I hope you had a wonderful and relaxing time. 🙂 I love your skirt and top, very stylish and comfy looking. I enjoy your blog posts because I like the fact your petite, like me! I’m about 5’2′, and so many other bloggers are so tall. It’s nice to someone who is similar in stature. Thank you for sharing your trip and outfit. Hope you have a beautiful day! Xo, Maria

    • Thanks for dropping by Luci! Yes, Malacca is a perfect place to visit for a short trip, especially if you love historical sites and Peranakan food. Hope you get the chance to visit again someday!

    • Thanks for dropping by Sonia! If I did not remember wrongly, people who prefer mountains are more ambitious while those who prefer the river like a more relaxed and peaceful life, according to the test. But your interpretation makes a lot of sense too, thanks for sharing your thoughts!

  2. what a cute and girly combo! you look so pretty! I especially love the colours of this look…and the slip ons are adorable<3

I would have a hard time deciding between a mountain or a river, but I think I would go for river as well. I've grown up in Split, two thousands years old costal town in Croatia…and the sea always meant so much to me. Now that I live in Mostar, what makes me happy is that this city is situated on five rivers! One of them, Neretva is really might and surely the most beautiful river I have ever seen.
