The summer season is a great time to try out cute overalls in shorts or skirt versions if you have not already done so. There are many types of tops that can go well with an overall but I like the idea of matching one with a chic crop design for that summery peek-a-boo effect! Continue reading

Stripes are always popular but I especially love it when they are incorporated into the summery nautical theme. Whether you are taking a boat trip or going for a beach resort holiday, nautical inspired designs are great pieces to bring along to add to that holiday cheer!
Most of us experience boredom from time to time and I believe seeking out new excitement or activities in our lives are definitely welcome in most cases. While there are numerous things that we can do to make our life more interesting, I believe it is important to explore ways that have a more lasting effect or can be repeated more frequently. Here are some of my suggestions –
My husband and I love planning our travels in late Winter or early Spring as we are very keen to catch the first burst of Spring colors from floral blooms in the countries we visit. Needless to say, we always make it a point to visit attractions that are known for their beautiful flowers and greenery. Jardin Des Plantes was an example of such a location that we did not want to miss!
Happy Mid-week everyone!
I love pairing black and white apparels together as this color palette never goes out of style. But to make an outfit more interesting, I love the idea of combining monochrome pieces with unique patterns to enhance the overall look.
As much as I like exploring beautiful gardens and historical landmarks, a great shopping opportunity is something I refuse to miss whenever I go travelling! My inner shopaholic is always eager to sniff out great places to shop and check out the fashionable items on display in boutiques and malls! As it was my first visit to Paris, I was excited to visit the most popular shopping districts and the Galeries Lafayette is one of the top locations on my list.
While it is definitely fun to do some window shopping in this really huge mall offering a wide range of luxury products, what really impressed me is the stunning rooftop view of the city from the mall! We decided to take some photos of my outfit of the day while we were there, as well as on the shopping streets near to this mega mall.
If you are in an adventurous mood this Valentine’s, you may want to go for a style that is more unexpected and flamboyant. As mentioned in my last post, I will be featuring a few outfits which I think will be suitable for Valentine’s and this is my second look.
The design of the black skirt may be regarded as over the top for some, but I really like it as I find the exquisite ruffled details very feminine and pretty. I picked a top with lovely red and pink floral prints to go with the statement skirt as these two colors happened to be closely associated with the Valentine’s theme!
Thank you for reading and I will be featuring a last look for Valentine’s soon. See you!
It is the New Year so I will like to spend some time sharing some of my personal stories!
I have loved fashion for as long as I remember. Growing up, my favorite past-time is to go window shopping as this allows me the time to indulge in browsing through the latest fashion items on the racks in department stores and boutiques. Despite being really passionate about fashion styling and trends, I never thought that I will go into the fashion industry as I was taught since young that being an academic is a more practical career choice.
After completing my University and working full-time in the corporate world for several years, I realized that I will never be happy if I do not start pursuing what I really love. Henceforth, I started my first online fashion business with my husband in 2012, with big dreams and passion. However, as we had no experience in the fashion industry and running an online business, we stumbled across many obstacles and went through a really steep learning curve, picking up skills along the way. In the process, we learnt more about our strengths and weaknesses, likes and dislikes.
It was during this period that, to my own surprise, I realized how much I actually like to blog. In fact, blogging for our online business was one of my favorite activities out of the many duties we needed to perform on a day to day basis! This also explains the birth of this blog, which I see as a creative outlet for self-expression and hopefully, as an inspiration for others as well.
Having shared my humble experience here, this is a question I will like to pose – have you thought of your resolutions for the new year? Personally, I will continue to go after what I love doing for as long as I feel capable and passionate to do so. I also hope to learn how to put less emphasis on the result and focus more on enjoying the process.
Thanks so much for reading this longer than usual post and hope you like the featured outfit as well! It comprises of a collared wrap style printed top from a Korean label and an inner organza slip which was featured here too!
Happy New Year and wishing all a great holiday!
Do u have an item in your wardrobe that you will describe as cool and strong? For me, a chic leather jacket will probably fits this description best.
While it is likely to go really well with jeans or leggings, I very much love the look of a leather jacket with a dress. Personally, I felt this combination is a reflection of a woman’s multi-faceted side which include a mix of soft femininity with strong independence. In this look, I paired a faux leather jacket with a striped bandage dress and strapped heels to create a style that is edgy yet sexy at the same time!
Hope you enjoy this post and see you again soon! Have a great week ahead!
Do you prefer a mountain or a river ? When I was younger, I came across a personality quiz that asked this question. The answer that came loud and clear to me was presented as a flash across my mind in the image of a clear and calm river. I have since came to admire the majestic beauty of the mountains as well but was reminded of why I love water when I look at the Malacca River, which cuts across the town of Malacca. There is something so tranquil and serene about this river that put the mind at ease when I just look at it!
The following pictures were taken along or near the river and at the boutique hotel where my husband and I stayed –
