Black can be an uncomfortable and sombre color to wear in the hot weather of summer so my idea of an all-black outfit during this season will be a style that is a little more fun and short. I was in the mood for something dressier so I decided to pair a structured peplum top with a cute pouffy skirt (also featured in a previous post here). To complete the look, I went for a pair of sneakers to add a touch of sporty chic vibe to the overall style.
Happy Mid-week everyone!
I love pairing black and white apparels together as this color palette never goes out of style. But to make an outfit more interesting, I love the idea of combining monochrome pieces with unique patterns to enhance the overall look.
As much as I like exploring beautiful gardens and historical landmarks, a great shopping opportunity is something I refuse to miss whenever I go travelling! My inner shopaholic is always eager to sniff out great places to shop and check out the fashionable items on display in boutiques and malls! As it was my first visit to Paris, I was excited to visit the most popular shopping districts and the Galeries Lafayette is one of the top locations on my list.
While it is definitely fun to do some window shopping in this really huge mall offering a wide range of luxury products, what really impressed me is the stunning rooftop view of the city from the mall! We decided to take some photos of my outfit of the day while we were there, as well as on the shopping streets near to this mega mall.
Happy Monday Everyone!
Hope it does not appear weird that I am featuring a thick coat today as it should be getting warmer in many parts of the world by now! These pictures were actually taken in the first week of April when it was still chilly in Paris, with temperatures ranging in the single digits. Apart from my faithful black coat and leather jacket, this white coat is definitely a life-saver for me!
The top featured today comes with attached black sash which is meant to be tied as a bow, a rather unique design in my opinion. I guess this “out of the ordinary” sort of design is not everyone’s cup of tea though, as I found this apparel on huge discount at a boutique specializing in Korean brand clothing. Trying the piece was not allowed at the boutique due to its discounted price nor was return accepted, so I took a leap of faith in getting this piece as I was not entirely sure how it will look on me.
Tying the black sash into a bow so that it sits right did take some time but all it required was a little practice so I would say the effect is not too bad! As the top is already quite outstanding, I decided to stick to a classic monochrome palette to keep the look simple.
Thanks for reading and hope you enjoy this post! See you again soon!
It is coming close to the end of the year which means that the festive season is quickly approaching too. Hence, I have picked a little monochrome cocktail number suitable for year end parties to be featured in this post. This cute mini dress really caught my fancy as I find it both minimalist yet attention grabbing (due to its structured lantern skirt design) at the same time. Really unique in my opinion!
I was really thrilled to receive a complimentary manicure and pedicure session from a local nail salon, Nail Lavish and thought that my nail colors go really well with the dress!
|Loving the ombre shades (From top: Black, Red And Light Pink) with a layer of glitter on top of the colors!|
That’s all for now and hope you enjoyed the pictures! Have a great week everyone and see you again soon.
I have always love the monochromatic look in fashion. I do adore vibrant colors too, but on days that I am in a rush or just not in the mood to think of what to wear, I simply can’t resist the classic black and/or white outfit. So just a quick blog post to show two basic monochrome designs that will never go out of style and will be suitable for ladies of different figures, including petite women. Here is the first look:
And my second feature is a simple white dress with delightful scallop patterned details at the waist area and a panel cut skater skirt which, by the way, makes me feel like Marilyn Monroe for a moment :)!
What I like about a classic dress is that it is so easy to create different looks with simple accessorizing. If you adore statement accessories like I do, a mono color outfit will be perfect for some creative mix and match.
Hope you like this post and see you again soon!
