Hats are one of the best accessories (perhaps the best!) to instantly make an outfit look more interesting and attractive. I don’t use to wear hats but have gradually gotten into the habit of doing so due to the inspiring ways I have seen other fashionistas style this trend! So I will be dedicating a quick post today to showcase some great looks with hats as the focal accessory! Continue reading
Most people own at least a couple of denim apparels, with jeans likely to be the most popular wardrobe staple. While jeans are classic and may be seen as “must-have” pieces, it is refreshing to see many other denim designs appearing on the fashion market this year.
As mentioned in my last post here, I took a short beach staycation recently as I have been longing for some leisure time at the beach. Personally, I see a break like this one as conducive in helping me straighten out my thinking in matters that I find complicated and challenging to resolve.
I have never been much of a beach person but reading blogs like Tuula and Fashion Me Now has released that part of my soul that craves for the beauty and vastness of the sea. Summer is the best time to visit the beach so my hubby and I decided to take a short beach resort staycation recently.
Most men like their dates to look demure and pretty on a first date. While this may sound superficial, it is a fact that external factors to do with first impressions and appearance will play an important part in determining how attracted men are to their dates at the initial stage of the relationship. Happy Friday and just a quick post before the weekend!
I like the layered look of a dress over a turtleneck or shirt, so I decided to pair up a shift dress with my staple black knit top while it was still cold in Paris. Simply could not resist the idea of styling a dress like it is an overall whenever possible!
My husband and I love planning our travels in late Winter or early Spring as we are very keen to catch the first burst of Spring colors from floral blooms in the countries we visit. Needless to say, we always make it a point to visit attractions that are known for their beautiful flowers and greenery. Jardin Des Plantes was an example of such a location that we did not want to miss!
Gold has not always been a color I like but I grew to love this shade more and more as I mature into adulthood. I am not too sure how it happened but it could have begun when I started to associate this color with splendor and brilliance. When it comes to an outfit, my preference for a gold apparel is usually to match it with black so as to achieve a balance of striking glamour and minimalist elegance.
If you are interested to know more about French history, one place you should not miss is the Palace of Versailles! The popularity of this national landmark cannot be underestimated – my husband and I had to queue for more than an hour in the rain on a weekday to visit this magnificent former residence and Parliament House of King Louis XIV. The wait was definitely worth it though and we decided to go ahead with an outfit shoot even when it was raining continually. The beauty of the grounds were simply too amazing not to go into this photo dairy!
